Premo Rice, born Richard Dixon in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, is an American rapper, producer, and co-founder of Live Forever Recordings. Known for his fusion of funk, soul, and hip-hop, Premo Rice has carved a niche with his smooth, charismatic flow and retro-inspired beats.
He began his musical journey in 2012, initially producing beats before transitioning to rapping over his own productions due to dissatisfaction with other artists’ interpretations. His early exposure came through viral Vine videos, which he later leveraged to promote his music career. In 2015, he released his debut mixtape, Mack Sagas, followed by projects like Gorilla Pimpin, A Night at the Chateau, and Church Is on the Move, the latter featuring collaborations with Curren$y and Chevy Woods.
