Sonido Gallo Negro is a project that takes the psychedelic sound of Peruvian cumbia of the 70s, and fuses it with a garage band attitude. Farfisa organs, Fuzz guitars and the inseparable güiro are the principle elements of this lysergic grouping. Subgenres like Chicha, Amazonian Cumbia and Boogaloo are present as soon as the band hit the scene. Without a doubt Gallo Negro’s approach is an exotic rarity that likes to dress its music up in an aire of esoterics that alter perceptions and obligate a dance til exhaustion.
