Downtown Tucson invites the rest of the city to come on down each 2nd Saturday for a variety of events and activities. Vendors line the streets along Congress and Scott Ave becomes a block party.

Studio ONE A Space for Art and Activism will host a gallery showing for their new neighbors Xpanded Universe , as part of their GRAND OPENING/FUNDRAISER/ “STAR WARS Day ” Art Exhibit!
The art from local creators will be for sale with proceeds going towards a cancer benefit. The exhibit opening will be followed by the Documentary “The People Vs George Lucas” at 8:30pm. Next door Xpanded Universe will be raffling off toys and other Star Wars collectables for the benefit as well. This event is FREE!

MoctoberFest is an April Fool’s Carnival, Beer festival, and Community Arts Fundraiser for the All Souls Procession curators-Many Mouths One Stomach.
Performances by -Sonoran Strange, Aztral Folk, Vox Urbana, Empire of Sound, Las Florecitas Rockcheras & Sacho Niño with Brazilian drums by
Sol Axé, West African dance and rhythms by MamAxé Dance Collective
Aerial performance by Tucson Circus Arts School Tesla Coil exhibition by Circus Amperean. Magic Kenny Bang Bang will guest MC the event. Moctoberfest’s vision, is to bring these groups together as a showcase of Tucson’s mix of creative celebration.
The idea for this affair is to create a festival celebration for spring that will attract interest and participation in the Menlo Park neighborhood’s major developing area. By blending a “Carnival” environment with a Hoagarten beer, music & arts festival to provide a forum for vending of local art/clothes/music/etc andcreate a playground for attendees, and utilize the Mercado San Agustin for community networking.
