Now in its 7th year the WildWild West Con
is 3 days of Cosplay and Victorian era science fiction.  This year’s Convention theme is Robots vs Dinosaurs. Friday and Saturday night nightlife in the for of concerts, burlesque and drinking games.

Friday October 4th

The 9th Annual Tucson Comic Convention returns for 3 days of art, cosplay, artists, independent publishers,  and fanboys.  This year marks a few new twists and surprises, so be sure to check the website link below for all the details.

Wild Wild West Con (day 1)

Friday, March 4th

The Old Tucson studios will host a horde  of Steampunk travelers this weekend for Wild Wild West Con. Now in its 5th year, WWC will have 3 days worth of panels and workshops as well as concerts and performance art. Tonight’s acts are Steam Powered Giraffe and Dry River Yacht Club.

Monday May 4th

Studio ONE A Space for Art and Activism will host a gallery showing for their new neighbors Xpanded Universe , as part of their GRAND OPENING/FUNDRAISER/ “STAR WARS Day ”  Art Exhibit!
The art from local creators will be for sale with proceeds going towards a cancer benefit.  The exhibit opening will be  followed by the Documentary “The People Vs George Lucas” at 8:30pm.  Next door Xpanded Universe will be raffling off toys and other Star Wars collectables for the benefit as well. This event is FREE!

Wild Wild West 4

The Airships have landed and Old Tucson is once again home to the largest gathering of Steampunk in the southwest.  Professional Steampunk troops, costumers, pin up models musicians, filmmakers artists and artisans bring the late 1800 western theme park to surreal life, as the thread of alternative “what if” history is explored in this genre of cosplay.

With a workshop being held on just about every aspect of the pursuit Wild Wild West Con is the best place to check out the DIY revolution of Steampunk.
